Description

This foundation was established in 2007 as an environmental learning and conservation project. In recognition that a large number of families outside of Bali’s apparently prosperous, tourism-driven economy live in poverty, the a second component has been introduce in 2011, and the Foundation’s activities were expanded to include support to poor, marginalized, and at-risk girls and young women through training and skills development. Given the importance of the tourism sector in Bali, the training focus is on hospitality.

The foundation's vision is to create a sustainable future for islands, oceans, and communities through healthy environmental practices and their mission is firmly committed to progress towards Millennium Development Goal, promote Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women. The progress towards this goal is a key aim of the foundation activities through their second component.
