Hello there! My name is Elian. I had the incredible opportunity to join the Bali Internships program, which allowed me to experience a 12-week internship in a prominent architecture studio based in Sanur, Bali. If you’re looking to combine professional growth with cultural discovery, this program is an experience you won’t want to miss. Keep reading to learn how this unique journey transformed my career and life!

An Architectural Experience

During my internship, I had the chance to immerse myself in a diverse range of projects, from small boutique hotels to large resorts and iconic buildings. The studio I worked with focuses on sustainable architecture, integrating technologies like bio-septic systems, water filtration, and renewable energy into designs. This exposure deepened my understanding of sustainable practices and allowed me to hone my skills in tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Lumion for 3D modeling and rendering.

A Supportive and Inspiring Work Environment

The work environment at the studio was incredibly supportive. The team of architects, designers, and engineers was not only talented but also welcoming, always ready to share their expertise. I found the work culture here in Bali to be much more laid-back compared to Europe, with less stress but still a strong focus on meeting deadlines. This collaborative and relaxed approach helped me enhance my technical skills and gain new insights into architectural design.

Exploring Bali Beyond Work

Bali’s natural beauty and rich culture were highlights of my internship. In my free time, I explored places like the Gili Islands, where I swam with turtles, and immersed myself in the island’s cultural traditions. I also took the opportunity to learn some Indonesian, which helped me connect with the locals even more. The island’s food, traditions, and people made my experience truly special.

Learning and Growing with Bali Internships

The Bali Internships program provided invaluable support throughout my stay. They arranged my accommodation, airport transfers, and ensured I was settled into the office. This support allowed me to focus fully on my professional development. My time in Bali not only enhanced my technical skills in architecture but also improved my English and taught me how to adapt to a different cultural work environment.

Why I Chose Bali Internships

I chose Bali Internships because I wanted to combine professional growth with cultural exploration. The program’s focus on architecture and design aligned perfectly with my background, and its structure made it the ideal fit for me. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to expand their skill set and gain international experience in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Bali in Three Words

If I could sum up Bali in three words, it would be Paradise, Kindness, Cultural. The island’s natural beauty, the warmth of its people, and its rich heritage made this internship an unforgettable experience. For anyone considering an internship abroad, I highly encourage you to consider Bali. It’s an opportunity for both personal and professional growth that will leave a lasting impact.
