The Journey to Finding the Right Internship

Securing an internship proved to be a challenge. Despite sending out numerous applications via email and social media, responses were scarce. Many companies either were not looking for interns or did not reply at all. Frustration began to set in until I discovered Bali Internships. Their supportive platform made the process seamless, guiding me from my search to preparation for the placement.

A Unique Work Culture and Professional Growth

Working in Bali exposed me to a professional culture that was quite different from what I had experienced in France. The structured, rigid workflows I was accustomed to were replaced by a more relaxed and creative environment. My mentor, Lauren, the owner of the coworking and creative space where I completed my internship, often worked remotely, which provided me with a great deal of autonomy. I was given responsibility for tasks such as event planning, brand strategy management, content creation, and community engagement.

This level of trust pushed me to refine my creativity and decision-making skills. I took ownership of my projects, from organizing workshops to coordinating collaborations, which bolstered my confidence and left me with a deep sense of achievement.

Discovering Freedom and Creativity

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my internship was the creative freedom I enjoyed. I could bring my ideas to life, whether it involved designing workshops or planning social events. Balancing innovation with practicality was both exciting and challenging, making the experience deeply rewarding.

The flexible work setup also allowed me to explore Bali and its neighboring islands. Trips to Komodo, Nusa Penida, and Gili became highlights of my journey, leaving me with unforgettable memories of Bali’s stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. It was a great balance of work and exploration, and I really appreciate the freedom to do both.

Cultural Connections and Supportive Environment

The kindness of the Balinese people had a profound impact on me. Their warmth and hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home. The support I received from my mentor and team was invaluable in overcoming challenges like visa arrangements and adjusting to a remote work setup.

Living in Bali also offered a deep cultural connection. From experiencing local traditions to enjoying the delicious cuisine, every aspect of life enriched my understanding of the island’s heritage. Interacting with people from diverse backgrounds added even more depth to my personal and professional growth.

Lasting Impact and Future Aspirations

Interning in Bali was far more than a career milestone—it was a life-changing experience. It enhanced my professional skills, strengthened my independence, and deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity. It also confirmed my passion for marketing and events, giving me clear direction for my future career goals. Looking back, the combination of breathtaking natural beauty, a vibrant work environment, and meaningful relationships made this experience truly unforgettable. If I had to describe Bali in three words, they would be beautiful, fun, and friends.

To anyone considering an internship abroad, my advice is simple: take the leap. My internship experience in Bali is not just about professional development; it’s about discovering yourself in ways you never imagined.
