About the internship
Description
Indonesia is the second biggest polluter in the world, it produces 130,000 tons of solid and liquid waste, approximately 50% of this reaches the landfill, the rest is either burned or illegally dumped and bleeds into the ocean. This volume of waste entering the oceans and skies threatens any chance of a sustainable future. The nonprofit has existed for over a decade where its existence is to promote and share the importance of ecological knowledge and waste management training for local governments, businesses, communities and people, so it can be implemented into all elements of people in the community in daily life practices.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an environmental background education who is looking to gain practical experience in waste management research and development.
Interns will work closely with our team of educators and researchers to support the development of innovative waste management solutions that are both environmentally sustainable and financially viable. They will be involved in various aspects of waste management research, including data collection and analysis, experimental design, testing and validation, and report writing.
