Volunteer Teaching at Vocational High School
About the project
Description
This vocational high school in Gianyar is committed to advancing sustainable tourism and education as a pathway to poverty reduction in Indonesia. Volunteers and interns play an integral role in supporting English language instruction for students in grades 10 to 12—both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities focused on conversational practice and applied communication.
Volunteers are accommodated in the school’s on-site Training Center Hotel, for the students to get the opportunity to learn and implement their hospitality knowledge through guest interaction. The school also engages in sustainability initiatives such as waste management and school gardening, providing a holistic environment for experiential learning.
Ideal candidates are independent, adaptable, and motivated individuals with a passion for education, youth development, and sustainable practice.
