Internship Programs in Bali

Humanitarian Internship Abroad at Turtle Conservation Center in Bali

I chose to try to do something that could be useful to someone other than myself. Living and doing an internship in Bali was a very beautiful experience, which I could never regret it." Dorine, INSEEC Business School, France

How it all started

It all started when our University made us choose -between doing a professional or a humanitarian internship to validate our year, so I decided to try to do something that could be useful for something other than myself. So I was referred to Bali Internships by a friend and decided to do an internship abroad in Bali together with my other friend. I have no regrets about participating in this project, and during this internship, I felt in the spiral of a good deed, with the feeling that we are doing what needs to be done.

The internship does affect me as a person

The fact that I travel so far from home alone was my greatest fear. But once I set my foot to this island, it helped me pushing myself and encouraging me to be a much more independent person. Despite the support of Bali Internships, we tried to dedicate ourselves as volunteers therefore we felt obliged to adjut to our habits. Now that I am home in France, I feel it much more since because I am more initiative and independent.

Living and doing an internship in Bali was a very beautiful experience, which I would never regret, I felt like I have landed in another world. First, Bali's great landscapes, during our volunteering abroad in Bali, we discovered many amazing places, and to meet and interact with the locals. The Balinese people are undeniably kind, incomparable to Paris, the difference was obvious. It’s quite taken me back by how kind and friendly are the people here in Bali, Indonesia because I’m not used to it.

Exploring Bali and its incredible surrunding

During our internship in the turtle center, we had to work only in the morning. Therefore, we had the opportunity to tour the island, beaches and some of the surrounding islands such as Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Gili Trawangan during the day. We were able to go to places like Kuta, or to Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud, which we have visited during our weekends.
