Description

This NGO Pre School and Children Cente, was set up by a foundation which was established under a Local Christian School, which aims to provide educational opportunities for children with education needs in developing areas through sponsorship and fund-raising efforts. The school requires volunteer-co teachers for two classes of pre-school. Every class consists of about 15-20 pupils.

Program benefits for students, graduates, aspiring educators:

  • Academic Credit Support
This program can be aligned with academic coursework or practicum requirements. We provide formal documentation and support for participants seeking academic credit or institutional recognition.

  • Cross-Cultural Pedagogy
Learn how early education is approached in a community-driven, faith-based setting in Indonesia. Understand how social, cultural, and economic factors shape learning environments in underserved areas.

  • Mentorship and Collaboration
Work alongside local educators, gaining insight into inclusive education, child behavior management, and creative classroom strategies. Volunteers are encouraged to collaborate and contribute ideas in a respectful, co-teaching model.

  • Professional Skill Building
Strengthen communication, classroom leadership, and adaptability—skills that are highly transferable to future careers in education, child services, and nonprofit work.

Program benefits for senior volunteers (Retirees, Educators, Language Tutors):

  • Share your skills and experiences in a way that is both impactful and deeply fulfilling.

  • Stay active and intellectually engaged while contributing to community-based educational development.

  • Experience the richness of intergenerational learning, where you give and receive inspiration across age groups.

  • Discover new rhythms of life in a different cultural setting, with time for reflection and meaningful contribution.
