Hello, everyone! I'm Eloyn, a design enthusiast with a background in Industrial Design from Swinburne University, Melbourne, Australia. My journey led me to Bali for a unique internship experience, one that would not only broaden my design horizons but also introduce me to the fascinating world of digital marketing and photography.

Choosing the Path Less Traveled

I'm sure you're curious about why I chose this path. Well, it's a tale of evolution. As a student, I studied Industrial Design in Melbourne, focusing on making products that enhance people's lives. But then, COVID-19 changed the game. As I faced the pandemic's challenges and graduated from university, my perspective shifted. I realized my passion lay in designing experiences—how people interact with products and services—and how I could improve those interactions.

This realization led me to Bali, a decision reinforced by my newfound interest in digital marketing. The world was changing, and I wanted to change with it. I was ready to explore how design and marketing could harmonize, enriching not just my career but also my social connections.

The Internship Begins

Now, you might be wondering, "What did I do during my internship?" Well, the adventure began at a renowned, award-winning gastronomic restaurant in Jimbaran. Thanks to Bali Internship that has really helped to connect me with this wonderful establishment. My daily tasks revolved around managing my time effectively, a crucial skill that I honed during my two months at the internship.

I had the opportunity to contribute to the restaurant's digital presence. This included monitoring and engaging with Instagram and TikTok followers, learning the intricacies of social media development, and collaborating with content creators, video editors, and photographers to produce captivating material. I even participate in reservation management and meetings focused on online development for the restaurant.

My Favored Aspects and Challenges

In this vibrant setting, there were aspects I adored and some that didn't quite spark the same enthusiasm. I found great pleasure in video and photo editing, especially when crafting content for TikTok. It was a playground for creativity and imagination, and I reveled in finding unique ideas to share.

On the other hand, welcoming new Instagram followers didn't quite appealing to me, to be honest. My passion is more for designing social media posts. But this internship wasn't just about doing what I loved; it was about learning and expanding my skill set.

The Importance of Structure and Time Management

One of the most significant things that I learned from my time in Bali was the importance of structure and time management. Planning and following the content calendar became a daily ritual. Every piece of content had to be meticulously registered and aligned with predefined timelines. This discipline and organization were paramount in ensuring the restaurant's digital presence remained dynamic and engaging.

Reflections on My Bali Internship

As I sit here today, reflecting on my journey, I can confidently say that my expectations have been met. The experience has been a whirlwind of learning, personal growth, and forging a path toward a brighter future. I have worked swiftly and efficiently, upholding the standards I set for myself.

Bali in Three Words

And now, if I were to describe Bali in three words, it would be "cultural yet unique." The island is an enchanting blend of tradition and individuality, a place where history meets innovation.

In conclusion, my Bali internship has been an adventure like no other. It's been a journey of self-discovery, skill development, and valuable connections. The fusion of design, marketing, and photography has opened doors to new possibilities, and I look forward to the exciting prospects that lie ahead in my design career. Bali has proven to be a place rich in culture and creativity, and I'm grateful to have been a part of it.
