About the internship
The Organization is Bali based non-profit organization with focus on restoring damaged coral reef across Bali and Indonesia. The low voltage electrolysis technology applied to promote faster growth and better health of coral reefs.
The UN awarded Community Based Coral Reef Restoration in Pemuteran, is a good example how destroyed coral can be restored while bringing economic benefits for local community. The project which started in 2000 has been replicated in more than 15 locations in Indonesia.
The organization management is focused in Bali, with a home-office in Batubulan and main site in North Bali. Its home-office is located in a housing compound, near public interest and tourist attractions. Pemuteran is 4-hour drive from Airport, and it is an emerging world class tourism destination thanks to the restoration project which boost the village’s economy from a poor and dry village in 1990s. There are no night life or night entertainment in this area.
Interns involvement are expected to be implementing marketing campaigns to promote the project and the organization’s services. Role that includes: Research, promotions, public relations, event planning and organization (if any), managing sponsors, members and communities. Intern will learn step by step how to gain ideas of a campaign, transform it to a grand strategy, break it down to articles, blogs, newsletter, social media updates, see the result and evaluate the campaign. Intern will also learn how to reach and communicates with sponsors/partners, supported community, and project members. If off-line events are held, you also will be part of managing/organizing the events.
